Blogs. Wow. I am doing it .....
I was looking up country girls living in the city, because all day I kept thinking to myself, " I am such a country girl, what am I doing here? I need to plant myself in the earth soon." I'm living in ann arbor with my boyfriend...and I keep contemplating where I want to be in the next year. He will be leaving for the Navy as a Medical doctor by July 2010...and I need some solid grounding in my life. I'm reading Louis Erdrich's book.. "The Painted Drum." and in it she describes so gracefully her relationship to the earth....taking care of her trees, her orchard, making blackberry jam from her own blackberry patch...I get so wrapped up in wishing I had a life like that. I want to nurture the earth...grow plants...grow my own food...bring life to its fruition with natural growing things. The birds, my own garden, my own foods, jams, breads, salsas, wine and beer, I want to make my own life so bad! Be natural with creating my own foods, drinks, and health products. PLease be with me as I try to reach this goal~~Love loli bear
